Katonah & Purdys United Methodist Churches

Welcome One, Welcome All

The United Methodist Church professes “open hearts, open minds, and open doors.”

At Katonah & Purdys United Methodist Churches, this means:

You are welcome here! We see the light of God in everyone and welcome all unreservedly.

Our spiritual community is inclusive as we strive, hand in hand, to live by the example of Jesus by loving God and loving our neighbor.

We celebrate and explore our faith in joyful worship & music, in prayer & study, and through service to others in our church, our community, and our world.

We promise to share with you our experience of faith, and we welcome you to share yours with us, whether for a day, for a season, or for a lifetime.

We are a proud signer of the Covenant of Conscience, a declaration that we will not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Worship & Ministries

Worship

Our worship service is designed to connect people to the Holy Spirit and to one another. Pastor Melissa's lively sermons are followed by a time of discussion and reflection.

Ministries

It's so simple. Jesus said the two greatest commandments are to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. Everything we do is based on this simple (but not easy!) teaching: love God, love yourself, and love your neighbors - all of them!

“God is More – more than human words and concepts can possibly capture.”

Pastor Melissa

Support Our Church

We believe that generosity can create a world in which there is enough for all. We believe that money is a tool which can be used for harm or for good, and we commit ourselves to using it for good. We believe that giving as we are able deepens our own spiritual journeys. We practice transparency and responsible stewardship of the churches' financial resouces.
