Worship with us this Sunday!


Please join worship at 10:30 in person at Purdys UMC or on Zoom for worship led by Rev. Lori Miller. The scripture is Matthew 14:13-21, and the sermon this week is entitled "Enough--Part I."

As she unpacks Pastor Lori continues to cull books. For the next couple of weeks of worship at Katonah, the books will be out on a table in the hall and are free to a good home! Thanks.

 

Upcoming & Ongoing Events


Prayer Circle is every Wednesday from 12:30-1:30
in the Katonah UMC sanctuary as well as on Zoom.

Sunday School will resume in the Fall.

Homecoming Sunday is September 10th

Open House with Pastor Lori is October 14th

Administrative Assistant Wanted for the UMC at Shrub Oak

Dear Friends in Christ,

I hope that you are staying cool and well hydrated in this warm weather. We need your help so prayerfully I am reaching out to you. We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our ministry here. The hours would 12 Hours per week (Thurs/ Fri) 10am – 4pm (w/ flexibility). salary is $18.00 an hour. Needed Qualifications include being reliable self-starter with knowledge of Microsoft Word, internet website, Mailchimp and web experience. Knowledge of Power Church is helpful. ReSET Westchester


Gift Card Collection

ReSET plays a direct role in helping refugees establish new homes in our community, and has put out a call to action to the local spiritual communities in our area with a specific ask to support Asylum Seekers. More information can be found here.


To support this mission:


1) Purchase gift cards in $25 denominations for VISA/Mastercard, CVS, Target, Lyft or Uber.


2) Place the gift cards in an envelope with Ellen Rohrer's name and your name on the outside.


3) Put the envelopes in Ellen's mailbox in the back of the sanctuary in Katonah.


Ellen will coordinate delivery of the gift cards and obtain a receipt of donation for anyone who participates.
