Giving & Service

Care Packages for College Students

From this Sunday through October 23, we're collecting items to send care packages to the ten college students in our churches. Some of their favorites include chocolates, sour patch gummies, Twizzlers, Kit Kats, Kinder Joys, Veggie Straws, tortilla chips, chocolate chip M&M cookies, Pringles, breath mints, granola bars, protein bars, hot chocolate packets, soup packets, or Halloween candy. You could also bring hand sanitizer, gum, pens, homemade baked goods, or gift cards for Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. You can also make a donation to help with the cost of shipping the packages. Make checks payable to Katonah UMC and write "care packages" in the memo line.

Table of Grace

The mission of Table of Grace is to offer nourishment to anyone who is hungry physically or spiritually, or both. If you can help any Saturday to prepare and/or distribute bag lunches outside the First UMC of Brewster (using supplies that are provided by the Hudson Valley Food Bank), contact Bonnie Hyatt, jesusfishlady@gmail.com.

SPR Message from Stacey Elconin

October is Pastor Appreciation Month! Please consider giving a gift to our church in honor of Pastor Melissa. There are two ways to give:

  1. For Katonah UMC, by clicking here and using your Paypal account or bank/credit card

  2. For either church, by check in our weekly collection with pastor appreciation in the memo line

Holiday Food Drive for the Community Center of Northern Westchester

Donations of flour, sugar (1-2 lb bags), vegetable/olive oil, coffee, tea bags (small boxes), hot chocolate, or butter or shortbread cookies can be brought to either church beginning on October 30. Frozen turkey breasts or frozen roaster chickens can be brought directly to the Community Center. See the website for hours and location.
